We have created an array of burgers for all tastes and desires. It’s our third year of thirty-one different burgers, one for each day in May. I’ve chosen a few burgers to highlight throughout the month to give the burger-lover’s out there the inside scoop on how these burger recipes came to be.
Today’s burger is the South of the Border Burger! It’s topped with sautéed onions and poblano peppers, bacon, guacamole, jack cheese and spicy chipotle ketchup.
Happy Cinco de Mayo! Feel free to pull out your sombrero if you choose. We had to spice it up a notch with some southwestern flare. Different chiles and sweet onions make this burger pop. A little smokiness from bacon and chipotles and a little soothing, spice calming, guacamole and melted jack cheese rounds out the flavor of this burger. Just to set the record straight, this one is not named after that hokey rest area that our family would stop at on our way to Disney World!!
