Today’s burger is the South Philly Burger with garlicky broccoli rabe, roasted long hots, provolone and asiago.
This one is an ode to my favorite Philly style sandwich. If you’re a sports fan like I am, grabbing a nice roast pork and broccoli rabe before kickoff or the first pitch is a ritual… or should be! We have slowly cooked our rabe in a generous amount of fresh garlic before smothering a perfectly cooked hamburger with it. Melt some provolone and a little sharp asiago cheese, drape a spicy, hot roasted pepper over it and mangia mangia, YO!!
