Today I have the pleasure to announce that we will be opening our tenth Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant in Voorhees, NJ. We are extremely excited to be once again opening in New Jersey, where I was born and raised. Because of the overwhelming response to our Maple Shade, NJ restaurant, which opened in 2009, we felt it was time to bring even more craft beer to southern New Jersey.
Growing up in New Jersey I spent most of my time in Glassboro, not too far from our new site in Voorhees. It is wondrous to think of how things have come around and with two restaurants, we will employ almost 200 people in the state by the end of the year.
It is also exciting to be a part of the growth of craft beer in the Garden State. Since we have opened in NJ, our friends at Flying Fish are in the process of a brewery expansion, and it seems like craft beer is ready to explode in a state that has been underserved for many years. We also would like to continue to bring breweries and craft beer to the state, and we hope that the New Jersey legislature will pass S-641 that would allow craft beer to continue to grow in the state of NJ.
I often get asked by friends, acquaintances and customers if we planned to grow our company to what will now be ten locations in three states. I honestly can say that we had planned to continue to grow but I never dreamed we would be nearly this successful. I have had the pleasure of working with many fine people over the last 15 plus years, and each one of them has been a part of our success.
Which brings us back to Voorhees. As a very young man, growing up in south Jersey, I visited Voorhees for shopping and I believe the community is poised and ready to drink great, craft beer. So here we go again!

I lived in West Chester when you first opened there, and you guys have really grown over the past 15 years. I don’t just mean in the number of brewpubs–your food and beer quality has really become top notch.
Congrats on your newest venture. I’m glad I only work about 5 minutes away from Voorhees!
