Gathering of the Gourds 2009 Beer List

Ichabod Imperial Belgian Pumpkin Ale

This extra strong spicy Belgian pumpkin ale is truly a beer from the farm. It is unfiltered with a beautiful Burnt orange color. Ichabod’s nose is filled with flavors of the harvest including clove, allspice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. The palette is sweet with hints of roasted pumpkin, and caramel.  There is a warming finish that is both fruity and aromatic. Over 6 pounds of pumpkin per barrel were added right to the mash.  Drink enough and you’ll lose your head too!

“Listen up you primitive screw heads!”

Alt is German brown ale. Sticke alt is big strong german brown ale. Boom Sticke is really big German pumpkin brown ale brewed with really big German pumpkins. This beer’s aroma is filled with hints of roast melon and a touch of seasonal spice. Deep mahogany in color, Boom Stick has lush flavors of molasses, caramel, bittersweet chocolate, and toasty graham cracker. Great before a tough night of zombie chasing. “This is my BOOM STICKE alt” Bruce.

Bruce Camp-Ale

A tribute to The Chin himself. Bourbon barrel aged imperial pumpkin ale. Bruce Camp-Ale is created slowly over many moons by allowing our Ichabod Imperial Belgian Pumpkin Ale to age and mellow in fresh Heaven Hill bourbon barrels.  The resulting beer is bursting with decadent notes of vanilla and oak that marry well with the spicy complexities of the base beer. Truly a rich beer to be enjoyed slowly and seasonally.
