Cadbury Creme Egg paired with Vienna Red Lager

The Cadbury Creme Egg is an Easter staple, dating back to 1923. Its white and yellow fondant center, encased in a chocolate shell is meant to imitate an actual egg. A single bite is filled with sweet cream and milk chocolate. We’ve paired it with our Vienna Red Lager, which showcases a delicate malt aroma, slight caramel sweetness and a clean, crisp finish. The carbonation of the Vienna Red Lager helps to cut some of the sweetness of the Creme Egg, while the malt character adds a layer of toasted caramel to the sweet fondant and milk chocolate mix.

Jelly Beans paired with Homestead

A Pessimist might say jelly beans could be one of the tougher candies to pair simply because there are hundreds of flavors, while the Optimist might look at Jelly Beans as an opportunity for hundreds of pairings. We’ve paired our Homestead, a farmhouse ale that is a complex, yet refreshing blend of citrus and spice, providing a very light palate with which to paint/pair on. Bite into a red jelly bean, then sip on your Homestead to add a burst of cherry to your citrus and spice. Nibble on your purple jelly bean for a light, sweet grape note. It’s a choose your own adventure for your tastebuds. The possibilities are endless.

Peeps with Seasonal Pale Lager

Peeps, the colorful sugar-coated marshmallow shaped like a baby chicken. These little treats are light, fluffy and full of sugar. We’re pairing out Seasonal Pale Lager with these sweet treats. The delicate malt character doesn’t overwhelm the subtle flavors of the Peep, while the crisp carbonation, and light hop bitterness helps to cut through the sweetness, readying the palate for the next bite.

Reese’s Peanut Butter Egg paired with Pig Iron Porter

Who doesn’t love the classic combination of the chocolate and peanut butter? The Reese’s Peanut Butter Egg chocolate shell is nice and all, but the peanut butter filling is the star. We’ve paired this classic candy with our classic robust porter, Pig Iron Porter. The chocolate notes of the porter complement the chocolate layer of the candy, while the roasty character balances out the sweet peanut butter filling.
