We love Fall and everything that comes with it! You can finally wear jeans outside and not regret the decision. It becomes socially acceptable to wear hoodies and sweaters. There are so many great things about the Fall…apple picking, pumpkin carving, horror film marathons, hay rides and every iteration of pumpkin spiced something. However, in our opinion the best thing about Fall is the release of Oktoberfest!
A traditional German Festival beer, our Oktoberfest is a medium-bodied lager with a wonderful sweet, malty and bready aroma and a firm malt flavor, balanced with a mild bitterness and clean, dry finish. The weather is still amazing, fire up the grill and throw on some dry rubbed Pork Chops! Pork Chops are lightweight, so the sweet flavor of the pork is a perfect match with Oktoberfest in terms of intensity. The golden-brown crust that appears around the edges and in the grill-marks of a well-prepared Pork Chop creates a great tie-in to the toasty/bready/caramel malt flavor found in Oktoberfest as well. Grill up some Fall veggies (onions, carrots, parsnips & fall tubers) to serve on the side, they’ll pair wonderfully with the malty character of the beer.
