Who brews here

Mike DegerHead Brewer · Lancaster
“Relax, don’t worry, have a fresh beer.”
Every Iron Hill brews its own beer on site, which is why the Lancaster tap list is its own. Between them, Iron Hill’s brewers have taken 80+ medals at the Great American Beer Festival and the World Beer Cup. See the medal record or meet the rest of the team.
Eating and drinking in Lancaster
781 Harrisburg Pike sits on the western approach into Lancaster, close to Franklin & Marshall College and a short run from Clipper Magazine Stadium and the downtown grid. Lancaster has one of the more serious independent food scenes in Pennsylvania, which is a good problem for a brewpub to have — it means the bar is high and the audience is paying attention.
The room is built for groups. Big tables, a long bar and a kitchen that can handle a full house on a Stormers night or a graduation weekend. It draws students and faculty from F&M, families from across Lancaster County, and visitors working through Amish country who want a proper dinner at the end of it.
As at every Iron Hill, the beer is brewed on site, so the Lancaster tap list is its own. Alongside a scratch kitchen that cooks with that beer — the Vienna Red Lager BBQ, the Pig Iron Porter ribs — it is a different proposition to a restaurant pouring someone else's kegs.
Good for
- Franklin & Marshall visits and graduation weekends
- Before and after Lancaster Stormers games
- Group dinners and larger parties
- A last stop after a day in Lancaster County
Getting here
Harrisburg Pike runs north-west out of the city toward Route 30, putting the brewpub between downtown Lancaster and the highway.
