Who brews here

Eric BoiceHead Brewer · Wilmington
“At the end of the day, it is always about beer.”
Every Iron Hill brews its own beer on site, which is why the Wilmington tap list is its own. Between them, Iron Hill’s brewers have taken 80+ medals at the Great American Beer Festival and the World Beer Cup. See the medal record or meet the rest of the team.
On the Wilmington Riverfront
620 Justison Street puts Iron Hill in the middle of the Wilmington Riverfront, the stretch of reclaimed shipyard that has become the city's main place to spend an evening. Frawley Stadium is a short walk for Blue Rocks games, the Chase Center on the Riverfront handles the larger events, and the Riverwalk runs along the water past the DuPont Environmental Education Center.
Wilmington also happens to be where this all started. Iron Hill opened its first brewpub in Newark, Delaware in 1996, and Delaware has been home ground ever since. The Riverfront location is the one that most regularly draws people who remember the early years.
Because the Riverfront concentrates so much into a walkable strip, this is a reliable answer to where to eat in Wilmington before or after something else — a game, a show, a walk along the water. The kitchen runs from scratch and the beer is brewed on site, so neither half of the meal is an afterthought.
Good for
- Before and after Blue Rocks games
- Chase Center events
- Riverwalk lunches and weekend dining
- Group dinners on the water
